Should be good enough to beat Everton. But we need to be focussed in every game. With our history at Everton there should be little danger of taking this for granted though.

We are Evertons Cup Final every game, they give 100% plus.

They've always been a dogged team. We needed to capitalise in the first twenty mins and didn't.

Still, second half beckons and we can only improve.

the two yellows for Nandinho & Mangala could hurt us 2nd half

We started well enough and should have got a couple of goals. Sergio could have had a couple but also a number of times we have put the ball into very dangerous areas only for no-one to be there. Half time came at the right time for us as we'd lost control. We need to start the second like we did the first but this time finish it off.

Fuckinell, three idiots on Sky all agreeing that Everton's 'goal' was offside but that they were unlucky for it to be disallowed. How FFS it is unlucky to have a goal disallowed for offside when they all agree that it WAS offside is beyond me. Panel of fucking morons. Good job linesman full fucking stop.

I guess they were saying it was as tight as a nuns....

And I hope the Everton fan is ok!

It might have been tight but it is still not unlucky to have an offside goal given offside.

Navas is bloody useless.  Sterling hasn't had a great game either...looks a bit flappy.

Nasri is a lazy shit but good goal. Navas can be so wasteful.

We are playing beautiful football and with 100% committment.

Not a great performance, but great result.

Really, we totally outplayed a hard working Everton team at Goodison.

Sexy second goal that, Ruud would be pleased!

Sooner De Bruyne gets in the better.

The ref wasn't giving anything to us today.

RS, def development needed, got the assist though.

We weren't at our best but it was a good win against a team that gave us a good workout.

3 clean sheets, 3 wins and 8 goals scored. Couldn't ask for a better start!

I thought Navas had a great game generally, really put his man under a lot of pressure. However, his finishing is dreadful. Anyone can miss em, even Serge, but his strike rate from decent chances is embarrassing.

Overall a great win with one or two concerns. Finishing not great and a few too many free kicks given away again. But it really is harsh indeed to grumble after the start we have had. We looks a very, very good team and still strengthening.

A good early season win, no problem really from Toffees

Sterling did well, fights for balls, works hard, but needs time to settle

I liked samir's goal

Great result, can hopefully forget of Everton as a bogey team, especially if Martinez stays in charge.
I think Navas has upped his game since KDB has been in the news. The fact that an improved performance is still short of the mark is testament to him never having been right for us.

Toure still jogs around, fine going forward, poor defensively. If he is the answer, we must be asking the wrong question.

Well credit due, toffees played very well as per. The difference today was how much every City player fought, worked on & off the ball,
which I loved. I think Navas has improved, still bit headless at shooting lol   Good to see Nasri  though he looks off the pace still.
Well happy so far  :D

I havent got a complaint about anything and if we carry on like this we will break records left right and centre.
I beleve we matched a 103 year old city record of 9 wins out of 9 today.

The difference in this game compared to the other two (IMHO) was that Yaya sat back a lot and didn't help Silva out by being a threat and dragging another player off him.

Navas should have squared it to Serge who was free in the box rather than shoot, could have been another 3-0 and I'd have my prediction correct! :D

I thought Navas played well but he is to selfish at times. However, another tough game out of the way  :)

Nowt much wrong with that. Admittedly, after his exertions in the Chavs match, Yaya went back to his lumber dinosaur impersonation, but it's hard to find fault with such a good solid team performance such as that. Two good goals - both of which came about from excellent work in the build up - Silva keeping hold of the ball in the middle for the build up to Nasri's in particular. Silva was superb once again.

Indeed. Apparently the last time we did this it was the same month the Titanic sank!

I think he dose  a great job for the team streaching the defence as Sterling dose on the other wing.We have much more space in the middle now we have two wide players on the pitch.Thats my opinion anyway.

True, but also frustrating that he's a head down and run player rather than one with vision!

aye but the problem comes when the other teams work out he will do fuck all with the ball and let him crack on with just running a bit
