Much of human society is corrupt and it has always been so. Individual greed is so rife and is actively encouraged in a capitalist society. It is wrong. In football the solace is that City are amongst the rich and powerful now. There's not much hope for society at the moment.

Capitalism is more open about getting what you can when you can, where as Socialism is an ideal that pretends everyone is equal but in reality they aren't. However basic human nature has the same result in the end. A 1% that are considerably more well off than the other.

Socialism is a nice idea but it is fundamentally flawed because not everyone is equal. You cannot share power between everyone because there would be no decisions made.
You cannot pay everyone the same because who would endure the hardships of becoming a Doctor or a professor when you could get the same money flipping burgers.
It is often seen as the nicer side of politics because it should bring about lots of social reforms, however if the economy of the country isn't strong enough to cope with the benefits, it can often lead to deficits in the budgets and heavy borrowing. Bureaucracy is high to ensure those in power do not abuse the system and tends to be a slower decision making government.

Capitalism creates a framework to allow industry & innovation to thrive, which should provide jobs and money in a free market. This is mostly done through tax breaks and other deals, however the money saved from the breaks & deals is rarely distributed fairly. Therefore there tends to be less unemployment but low wages. More money at the top also leads to higher prices in housing and high street markets as everyone strives to get a piece of the best pie. Government tends to disaggregate power so decision making is quicker, but often less informed and more open to abuse without the controls a socialist gov has in place. Social reforms tend to be more reactive and less likely to (over) compensate those in need. Due to industry, countries borrowing tends to be low allowing higher control of international markets and a surplus in the countries bank. However this excess money is rarely spent on social projects, more likely pumped back into industry.



The answer is a Socio-Capitalist government.

I think you are mistaking socialism with communism and a warped view of communism at that. But I concur that no ism is perfect, far from it. However, society must move on from selfish greed. For me that should be one of the main benefits of having a society. That people act for the common good. It has to be said that football is about the perfect example of how fucked up things are at the moment. That footballers earn so much whilst many NHS staff earn so little.

Keeping away from the politics, the FA must also be aware of the corruption in our own leagues.  UEFA, FIFA and the FA only care about the appearance of the game, how it is perceived, not what goes on away from the public gaze.

I agree with Gavin Swiss. Your description is more suited to communism rather than socialism. There is a difference  . I consider myself a socialist but I have never assumed that all people are equal in terms of their abilities - or indeed their financial worth. I've no problems with people being rich, so long as they've earned it in terms of their talents, their hard work, and they've done it legally. However there comes a point when too much money is just too much money, and greed and corruption become the norm amongst a small, self-protecting, privileged elite. Football is awash with money (at its upper levels). FIFA are a microcosm of the globalised, poorly regulated world, where for a few it's easy to get away with this shit.

True, but people don't see the point. Capitalism has ingrained greed in society, the need to get more money than others has led to corruption, war, crime, all sorts of troubles. People say is rligion that's caused war, it isn't, it's the men who think they are religious and want to be on top. It's all about mental afflictions caused by greed, hate, ignorance. Wow that's a lot in a few sentences.
