John Stones out for 4 to 6 weeks, a big miss given his outstanding performances this season and out lack of centre backs.

@City_Watch
Guardiola says John Stones will be out for between 4 to 6 weeks with his hamstring injury.

@City_Watch
Fixtures Stones will miss if he is out for a full 6 weeks:
- Feyenoord H (UCL)
- Huddersfield A
- Southampton H

- Shakhtar A (UCL)
- Man United A
- Swansea A
- Tottenham H
- Leicester A (CC)
- Bournemouth H
- Newcastle A

Possible return: Palace A (31/12).

Ludo

A devastating blow for the lad. He's shown this season why we were prepared to spend big on him.

Neil Mcnab

Routine miss now Vinny is back.

Hesperus

Depending on the severity of the injury 6 weeks may be a conservative estimate. Big blow for us but Kompany and Mangala played well yesterday. Just need to hope Vinny can last for a couple of months.

Thought Mangala looked very good

bbk

There is a good player in Mangala, unlikely it will come out at us though.

Kompany can slot in for Stones. No worries. Won't even notice he's gone.

Ludo

if Vinny doesn't break in the next while or get a stupid red card like he could easily have done on Saturday then we might be Ok.

jingoe

I think Vinny could do himself a favour by not chasing up and down when we get a corner. Not until he's match fit at any rate.

Mangala's passing can be a bit suspect.

Why was it stupid ? Vardy couldve scored

He risked a red for the team

Ludo

It was stupid because we could have played 87 or so minutes with 10 men plus the fact that lunging in like that is the sort of tackle that injures Kompany in the first place.

Vardy COULD have scored but Vinny SHOULD have seen red.

gavin

I don't think it was a red card as Stones was close. However it was still careless to risk it. Better to be a goal down after 3 minutes than down to ten men.

Vinny knew exactly what he was doing, and he wasnt being stupid.

The ref would never have given a red so early in the game and stones was bearing down on Vardy so it wasnt a clear cut scoring opportunity, and the rule is for refs , dont give a red if theres any uncertainty.
