Age caught up with me once - but I beat the living shit out of it...

Even so - I did delve far into the past for Willy Lot Jones.

Mildly surprised no one asked me about him? So you all know him?

Played about 300 games for City before World War One and scored 75 goals. Aside from the famous Billy Meredith, Willy Lot Jones is about the only other player I can always name straight off the cuff from City's early years - probably because it sounds a bit odd. Mind you, he was Welsh...

Tbc, there'll be loads' a names I couldn't roll off the tongue.
The oldest I can really remember stretches back to David White & Peter Reid. But Uwe  was my first city hero.
