Not that anyone's arsed but Delph made it in.

Pleased for him, he's worked hard the lad.

shandon

What position would he play?  :)

Ok, it's increasingly difficult to make a case supporting Joe Hart in his present incarnation, but I'd still say that while he was City's No. 1 keeper he was up to the job and fully deserved his 2 league medals (any other City keeper got 2?). I'm not saying he was the world's best, just that he was an integral part of that team at that time. Anyone think that Bravo was better? And as for England, I don't think Pickford is any better, Butland is error-prone and Pope (probably the best of the 3) is only second choice for Burnley when Heaton is fit.

shandon

Why does Goat hate Hart so much?

goat

fuck knows, should ask him

shandon

Why do you hate Hart so much?  :)

Neil Mcnab

I remember Mancini was rumoured ready to bin Hart off, but his passport saved him.

Delph is a good player, can play a few positions. He is a good back up.

Because he thinks he is massively overrated....... it doesn't matter anyway as England will be coming home soon

Swiss

I've heard the England team are adopting this as their anthem, worked well for the Scots!

according to david platt the arabs saved him

mancini had the bosnian from stoke lined up before he was sacked

Rowley Birkin QC

I'm always torn about Hart. One of ours (well... Shrewsbury's), very good shot stopper on his day and saved our bacon in a fair few games during the Mancini / Pellegrini era... but he also cost us as well at times. Poor decision making and (according to rumour) a tendency to ignore 'team orders' because he always thought he knew best - both at City and England. (Drove Fabio Capello mad by all accounts).

It's sad that his career has slid, but if you stop learning and believe there's nothing else anyone can teach you - then others will go past you.

goat

and  he killed  nastasic career at city

Swiss

Why do you say that?

The Blue Blooded Maniac

He didn't help him to be fair.

Savic is doing well for himself these days.

the chelsea game a few years back, nasty was bombed out because of  harts fuck up

gavin

We got rid of both Savic and Nastasic too quick. I doubt either is as good with the ball as Laporte though.

goat

to be fair savic looked a fucking disaster, nasty was decent

wasnt savic  part of the deal?

Rowley Birkin QC

Yes, Nasty had some promise. And Goat is right - Hart almost single handed finished Marty's City career.

Neil Mcnab

Nasty was a good player, but a sick note. Boateng was not given much of a chance either, played at RB quite a lot cant have helped. It worked out well for him though.

Back to Ingerlund, Southgate was an average manager, cant see him doing anything than the usual shite for the team. Inspiring he aint.

The Blue Blooded Maniac

Was looking at the team sheet and it looks like Cahill and Henderson are the two most senior players and heard someone say that Henderson will be the captain.

That's as good a reason as any to hope that England doesn't win it.

Savic had one good Derby match
Liked Nastasic
Boateng, what I remember from him is that he couldn't control a ball to save his life

The Blue Blooded Maniac

Captain Kane.

Atleast he's not a scouser.

Ah, but they know how to control a football with one touch - and they can dribble.

goat

soon train that out of them, if they cant run for 90 minutes its off to the gulag

Swiss

I enjoyed 96 and 98

Too many rag twats in those teams for me to enjoy them, the Italia 90 team wasn't bad.

shandon

What about 66?  :)

goat

he reckons harold was offside when he got arrow in his eye

nimrod

Didnt he have an apple on his head ?

lee

i wont be watching england..fooking shite..i just hope sterling upsets every cnut and scores a few for those who have given him stick over a tattoo

The Blue Blooded Maniac

Hopefully one of our lads will get their hands on the trophy.

shandon

Ingerlund have left you speechless?  :D

The Blue Blooded Maniac

Wasn't much plan B and they were naive as hell.

Hesperus

Beaten by a better side tonight. Have to hold our hands up. Southgates subs were poor, missed out on the best opportunity in decades. That draw we got in this tournament, we won't see the likes of again.

lee

thank fook that is over..lets get back to city and proper football

Swiss

At least we don't have to suffer being beaten by the French!

Swiss

On the whole, I thought England did well this tournament.

There are weaknesses throughout the squad. The main one for me is that there is no Captain.

goat

did they actually play anyone?

lost to belgium reserves

Swiss

Tbf, England reserves lost to Belgium reserves...

goat

That is fair tone

So what next for Southgate, the English Chris Coleman

Swiss

But on sat, the England team will probably lose...

Lekos

Aye.  Probably a bit more pronounced in the Croatia match:

Swiss

Hendo was.so panicked in possession. I hope he stays at LFC a long time!

gavin

Whats all this Hendo business?

Swiss

That he was poor and a reason why England's midfield didn't hold possession

Neil Mcnab

We dont have anyone who can take control of midfield. Southgate has done what he can, little innovations that are sure to be copied. He aint all that as a manager. It should be our turn at some point though, next couple of tournaments if we can find central midfielders?

shandon

Well he's certainly no Gerrard is he?  :)

Delph in the starting line-up today.

Swiss

Delph has done pretty well today. Especially at LB
