We really did fail to push on after our last two titles. I don't agree that this isn't a great side already - for all the titles the rags have won they have never got near 100 points. I think the magintude of that achievement will only become clear in the years to come. But, of course, it will be greater if we can go on to win it again, and again. There are good players out there but many would not fit the Pep mould of team first and hard work every game.

Mbappe would be a lovely signing. That said I think the key now we have Jorginho and Mahrez almost in the bag is building on the immense success of this relatively young team. The prospects are mouth-watering after a season of football bliss.

Yes, we have stars but not to the level that Mbappe etc would cost. In many ways that is a good thing. I don't think any of our players feel head and shoulders above the rest of the team. It is great that our assists and goals are so widely spread. The focus has to be on having a great team not great players.

All good points Gav. I’m just not sure the two players linked are quite at the level we should be looking but time will tell I guess.

Mbappe though is one I’d break the bank for. At his age he’s be with us for years and his physical attributes are just what we are lacking up front. Especially with Sergio more than likely to leave in the next 1-2 years.
