Hart - Hardest piece of work he had to do all day was picking the ball out of his net. - 6

Zabaleta - A shadow of the Zabaleta we all know and love thrusting forward terrorising defences, none of that yesterday apart from stonewall penalty at which point the referee suffered chronic eyesight failure. - 5

Kompany - A definite improvement on recent performances but his confidence crisis showed once again after their goal, the goal was not his fault, when he was visibly flustered and resorted to booting the ball up the field. So telling about team strategy and tactics when a player of VK quality is suffering an identity and confidence crisis. - 6

Demichelis - Resorting to professional fouls as he was at least a yard off the pace of the game, Poor show all day though no real howlers. - 5

Clichy - Did he actually play, anonymous most of the game, with no telling or useful contribution. - 3

Fernandinho - Super first half but not enough energy and drive to keep it up for 90 minutes, unlike 11 Burnley players who could and did. - 5

Touré - Never ever keep a player against his will is the morale and that is what we saw with Yaya yesterday. Payback yet again with total disinterest and no real effort. - 4

Navas - At times looks very good but no end product because balls are 90 per cent hitting defenders and those that make it into the box never find a City player. Tried hard first half but no real quality.- 5

Silva - Missed a gift from Aguero which summed the day up, his touch let him down. At least he kept trying and the odd bit of class showed, Pelle clearly pulled him off for trying and daring to show glimpse of class. - 6

Aguero - Never stops trying, always wanting to create a goal albeit a shade greedy and selfish at times. A quality player suffering a crisis of confidence in his finishing. What an achievement by Pelle to shatter this effervescent power packed players confidence. - 6

Džeko - Why did he get picked, why was Bony dropped. This says everything about Pelles mismanagement, underperform get picked perform sublime get dropped. Is Pelle on drugs or suffering memory loss as some of his decisions are simply bewildering. Once again a non descript non trying effort from the pedestrian they call Džeko. No need for a statue to be built for him he is already one.  - 3

Subs

Bony - Strong physical player who makes runs and unsettles defences, but whose confidence already looks shattered after just a few games for City under Pelle. - 5

Jovetic - Never came off the bench in reality which is no surprise after Pelle shit all over him in the Champions League, then somehow bizarrely expects he will save him in the Premier League. - 3

Lampard
- Too little too late, no time to make any real impact. Same old predictable last chance saloon gamble by Pelle. Even though that one has been well found out by opponents a long time ago. - No score

Man of the Match - Choose any Burnley player you want as they are all much a much but they all out worked and out performed 8 of our players.

I couldn't understand the substitution of Silva at all when we were one down, especially as he brought on Jovetic rather than Nasri. It smacked of saving players for the Barca game when our top 4 place is under threat. Getting through even to the CL Final and then losing won't help us if we finish 5th.

Silva, Aguero, Fernandinho and Navas were alright. But the whole team had a game to forget.
