This super league hasn't gone away.
This was just a water tester to see the reaction.

At some stage its going to happen because of the money

The European Super League (ESL) is on "standby" despite nine of the 12 founding teams withdrawing, says Real Madrid president Florentino Perez.

I doubt very much that it will come back in the same format but there needs to be change. UEFA is not a fit governing body and its proposals are awful too. The Champions League as is is a waste of time for most before Christmas. It is a question of getting the proposals for change right, both competitively and financially. It can't be just a closed shop, there needs to be competition and more competition than there is at the moment in the group stages. My personal choice would be just a straight knockout competition as it used to be. But that will never catch on with those big clubs who want guaranteed games and revenue.
