I'm delighted a £100 price cut for me  :cityscarf:

I'm sure others have been increased though, sorry for those people.

Mcfc_ms

Absolutely fuming at the prices.

A few years ago I was paying about £500 for one in 206. Been going up about £100 a year since and paid £900. Next season its £1750.

City can fuck right off now with those prices

gavin

They are certainly targeting tighter areas with pricing. From £900 to £1750 is a very dramatic rise in one season though! Maybe they are doing something special in your area? They are are quite clear that they want to give people the chance to move. There are still some pretty decent seats at £900. We are happy with ours at £600. Indeed we didn't moan when it was £700 so the reduction was a nice surprise really!

When I saw the prices I reckoned you'd be quids in, you lucky sod!  :D

I've done ok too, a £25 price cut to £600 and the DD extended to 10 monthly payments at no extra cost. I do feel sorry for the people sitting two rows in front of me who will be paying £700, the difference in the pricing seems a bit abrupt, it should have been a £50 step not £100.

gavin

It is impossible for them to get it exactly right. But I suppose people would say it is easy to be understanding when you're one of the major gainers from this re-organization. I do think though that there is a very large range of prices now to accommodate people.

15 minutes since your post Brendan and Goat still hasn't posted that £600 is a lot for an OAP  :D.

The pricing is not abrupt, it seems City are slowly introducing american pricing; Move people from good seats with pricing offers then charge more for those seats to new people. Further, sitting in a row in front of you costs $100 more, which is only inches for POV is cheap. Go to a NFL game you will find sitting closer to the field can cost up to hundreds if not thousands depending on the game, more if you can get a seat on the 50 yard line. Seems to me City have found a sneaky way of moving season card holders to make way for new holders with lots of dosh without making a fuss. After-all, why would they want a season card holder to move who has had that seat for years?  MONEY!   :-*

Fantastic film,  my black friends love it! I always show Zulu, Get Carter, and the Italian job at my parties. I rent them on line and put the films on loop all night.

BTW, which one is Brendan and did he get a medal?

goat

Typical goat, drags the thread off at a complete tangent. How the fuck did a S/T prices thread get on to the Zulu Wars, which incidentally not even my grandad fought in, he was in the Boer War and WW1 though.

goat

I blame the yanks,  right cunts  them

And bollocks you old sod

to get back on topic, Seats at M&T Bank stadium for lower level midfield block A are on the market for $27,500 a piece so 1700 for a season ticket is cheap by comparison. ticket prices vary from $1200 (upper level) upwards, depends where you want to seat. Either way, it is a money making rip-off. Having said that, these tickets are on the club auction site so it is the seller not the club asking these prices.
In America season tickets are not what you think, you buy the license for that seat to buy and sell your seat. Once they are yours you can sell them on the open market, for individual games or for the season and off season stadium activities such as rock concerts. I think that should be happening at City. I can sell my game ticket on the open market for games I do not attend in stead of being passed around my family and friends and then trying to recoup monies, stops all the freebies and give me more control of whom has the ticket for that day or series of games.

The brochure came today. The really expensive seats get a swanky bar before the match, at half time and after the game, a couple of free drinks, cushioned seats, three free domestic cup matches, a car parking spot and a programme. I'm doubt that will satisfy mcfc_ms but it looks like he will have to move if it doesn't.

Victoria

what happened to a pie and a pint at half time? As I said it is all money based! In fact, I would not want a cushioned seat, nor a couple of overpriced free drinks. i'd settle for a City win and a  parking ticket after the game. I shall be in Manchester come Tuesday so i might take a trip to Eastlands and kick up a fuss......lol

Yes there are a few 'benefits' such as the parking' bar and drinks etc but it's added things that we have no use for. Parking at the ground is shit anyway and takes ages to get away from the ground, plus we would get 3 spaces (three of us go together) so 2 would go unused. The bar thing is pointless because it will still take hours getting served, the pints and food will still be overpriced shite. We have had the padded seats for the last 3-4 years and have already paid a premium price to get them in the previous seasons. the three cup games isn't good value either considering city cap the prices to £25 each in the first rounds anyway and usually they only charge about £15 a game for those.

We were notified a few years ago about these changes but the prices they quoted were around £1250 and increased gradually over time. I don't think a £900 increase is gradual.

Just annoys me that there are still rises (not just city) when the premier league has just signed a mega tv deal which we all know will never be passed back to the fans.

I will definitely not be staying in the same seat and I'm having serious thoughts of packing it in alltogther due to other commitments. It will be a shame but I will just have to see where we get relocated to. It's not just about the seats and things it's the fact we are being priced out and over the years we have made some great friends and now that's going to be all lost. From speaking to most people around us we will all be moving seats so level 2 might be empty for the majority of games next season.

gavin

It will be interesting to see how full those areas are in the first game of the season and what price they try to sell the tickets at for individual games. They are seats with a great view and very comfortable but I notice the similar seats at the other side of the half way line are still £900. Much better value if you can get one.

still undecided if ill get one, could be second year in a row not bothering. spose its a fair to raise prices  considering we watch aguero and silva now and not barton and mpenza but like the lad said, 900 quid extra  lumped on is taking the piss a bit

wondering how long before every fucker is priced out and the stands will just be filled with the arabs wives
