Starting 11

Hart,

Sagna, Kompany (C), Demichelis, Clichy,

Navas, Fernandinho, Toure, Silva,

Dzeko, Aguero

Subs

Caballero, Zabaleta, Mangala, Milner, Fernando, Nasri, Lampard

C'mon City we need a good team performance.

Ludo

Still not convinced by Sagna but it's a team well capable of winning.

KunDB

WTF no Bony and no striker on the subs bench.

It is hard not to get pissed off with Pelles aimless rotation. No wonder players lose form and motivation.

Why is Yaya starting? He does not deserve to start, on recent performances.

Mangala, Zabaleta and Milner on the bench again, because they are 'important' players.

At least Nasri is getting a good kick up his arse for his shite non-descript non-trying performances.

Stephen Paul

gavin

I would assume there is something up with Bony if he is not on the bench, same with Jovetic. It would be very odd indeed if he went into the game without a backup striker on the bench by choice.

goat

could have at least put pozo on the bench, has to be more use than fernando

silvablue

We are carrying two players who put in zero effort in their last appearances Yaya and Edin.

bluepill

should win this easy, but it's the big games we keep underperforming in.

Neil Mcnab

No supporter of Yaya, but up to now putting a shift in. Cant see he will have the energy to maintain it.

Ludo

I think Yaya's already sipping an espresso in some Milanese piazza.

bluepill

well that makes things a bit more interesting

Neil Mcnab

Ludo

Fucking Demichelis playing everyone on side.

Swiss

I came back from my hols to the same old shit :-D

KunDB

Lets face it our defence is shocking and up front we always taken an extra touch or 3. We are not a good (effective) team too much posing and not enough urgency.

bluepill

best get rid now and have new manager bounce for the derby.

youve been away?

where you been then and did you get any interesting std?

KunDB

Bring on Dzeko second half. hmmnn

KunDB

Is it just me that feels I have seen this City performance time and time again this season. Plan A opossesion possession, concede, panic, lose

We are so one dimensional it is frightening.

KunDB

Oh and our weaknesses so flaming obvious.

Ludo

KunDB

If I was Brendie and Liverpool I would not give up. This is the worst City team since the big takeover (and that includes Hughes).

Victoria

Ludo

Our disastrous summer of transfer dealings are finding us out.

No one to put any pressure on Yaya and no upgrade on Demichelis.

KunDB

Forget summer transfers, not the issue. This is a team of immense talent underperforming. Pelle needs to explain that and his rotation policy which has failed spectacularly.

Neil Mcnab

KunDB

Proof we are shit and disorganised.

Ludo

bluepill

fuck me what was that toure

Ludo

I'll drive Yaya to the airport myself.

Neil Mcnab

Its Selhurst Park, not Twickenham Yaya.

bluepill

too many 30M squad players not enough 50M worldies and youngsters.

Just done a 2 week tour of china. Shanghai, suzhou, Beijing, xi'an, guilin, yangshuo and finally Hong Kong

No, only bird flu

KunDB

Is that Pelle or Coco the clown speaking to 4th official re sub?

clevblue

going from bad to worse

Ludo

Why can't we seem to harness the same sort of energy that teams like palace and Burnley display against us.

bluepill

Because we have too many 75% players and we are badly set up and disorganised as a team.

Neil Mcnab

Yaya cant do 90 minutes, fresh legs needed.

KunDB

BTW not so long ago I was accused of overreaction when I said 4th spot may be a challegne.

KunDB

Ok Plan B throw on Frankie. Bet Pardew never expected that.

Ludo

City fans throwing missiles, not good.

Wankers.

bet you missed the shite on here

Ludo

bluepill

Waiting for shots on target, we dont look like scoring really.

Derby is going to be a bleak day out.

Ludo

bluepill

silvablue

Same old performance same old failings. No lessons learned.

bluepill

palace look far more like scoring.

Neil Mcnab

Never doubted Toure, a bit more like this instead of trying to pass it in.

bluepill

ahh the old play shit, scrape a draw, paper over cracks routine again.

it's like I've never been away...

Ludo

Yaya back to form

#rowZ

Ludo

It's gonna be a loooong few weeks.

Neil Mcnab

It is a battle for the fourth place. If we dont get it, Kun could decide its time for sunnier climes - if he hasnt already.

bluepill

So presumably pelle must be toast now then, there is no point waiting.

Liverpool could catch us.

silvablue

We can still win the title, still mathematically possible, 7 important games we must win them all and see what happens.

Answers on a post card stating who will say thay in their post match interview.

KunDB

We are so ineffective it is unreal.

guidebridgeblue

Not looking forward to Sunday although it would be typical City to go there and trounce them.

bluebrendan

Why do we keep starting just two in centre midfield when one of them is Yaya who is ok going forward but a liability defensively? It's fucking stupid and puts too much pressure on the other CM - Fernandinho tonight.

Saying that with so much possession we should be scoring more than once, Sergio needs to get his mojo back in time for the Swamp.

Ludo

It's madness to play 4-4-2 with Yaya in the middle and Silva wide.

goat

demi, yaya and dzeko through the middle, speed kills

Ludo

Don't forget Fat Frank

goat

then we have clichy and navas, fast as fuck and nowt else

gavin

All that possession but we didn't trouble the keeper enough. Palace had very few attacks but looked like scoring with every one of them. No cutting edge and a dodgy back four - it is a very costly combination.

goat

back 5 if you add hart

lot of talk of a clearout but who the fuck will we get coming in after that shite

Ludo

Getting into the Champs league will be a massive incentive for new players, missing out will be disastrous.

goat

the type of player we need will likely be in champs league anyway

Ludo

They always will be, shouldn't stop us trying though.

goat

but thats when silly money pops up and platini gets excited

Rowley Birkin QC

Didn't see this game, and not sure I'll bother watching the recording after reading some of the write ups...

...but not sure I need to. 74% possession; 22 shots (only four of which are on target); 13 corners; one goal and two conceded - says it all.

Why indeed do we persist with a two man central midfield when one of them can only build up a head of steam going forward - and then only when it suits him? Can't see the point of playing Navas and two strikers when we do this. Too many huge holes in the middle and immediate extra pressure put on an already dodgy back four.

Tricky Trev

Well done Pelle, it's actually quite the achievement to fail so bad with this team. The team would do better without a manager, and to even try to avoid top 4 intentionally would be quite the challenge. Yet Pelle makes it look so easy, well done!

not the tactical wonder you were probably hoping for but

fuck knows

if people like us that really know nothing can see it wont work before kick off how can a guy that gets paid to know how this shit works need an hour of a game to spot all is not well

Swiss

Dzeko was his usual helpful self too. Why aren't we training him on passing...

clevblue

Dzeko's after a move according to some press reports. Is Pelle to blame for Dzeko's obvious decline?
