XI | Ederson, Walker, Dias (C), Laporte, Cancelo, Rodrigo, De Bruyne, Bernardo, Jesus, Foden, Grealish

SUBS | Steffen, Carson, Stones, Ake, Sterling, Torres, Fernandinho, Mahrez, Palmer

As expected. Come on City.

Stephen Paul

Good starting 11

C/Mon Cityyyyyyy

Can’t argue with that team selection though I feel Torres is unlucky not to get a start in more games.

As for John Stones I have to wonder what is behind his non selection.

C’mon City

Stones is a strange one

KunDB

Good team now we need a performance to match from the get go and more clinical finishing. Great to see Jesus start for this game.

Stephen Paul

that Robertson is a cheeky wee fucker

gavin

Decent half after a hard start. Just missing the finish again. Ref poor - Dias was fouled first and got booked then nothing for the foul by Milner on Foden. Milner should be off the field now.

Stephen Paul

KDB very quiet first half . Foden in good form

Scousers are poor

Stephen Paul

are we missing a poacher striker

KunDB

We are missing a cutting edge which a class striker gives a team. So many chances so few shots on target let alone a goal.

Clear penalty not surprisingly not given at Anfield.

KdB is not 100% this season, imo after Belgium played and flogged him while injured.

KunDB

The Bernardo cameo first half was such a joy to watch, if only Phil had finished it.

KunDB

Foden is some player. Sparkling like a star.

Why we started second half so asleep is beyond me.

The Blue Blooded Maniac

Again, how hasn't Milner been sent off??? He's done several yellow card fouls.

gavin

Milner should have been off twice. Absolutely disgraceful.

Well Done City to come back again against 12 men.

Neil Mcnab

MOM for Liverpool, the ref.

gavin

Absolutely shocking reffing. He should be sacked.

Stephen Paul

Milner def red

Fucking disgrace

Stephen Paul

4 points from Chelsea away and Liverpool away

KunDB

Amazing display of resilience by City against a superb team and a coward of a referee. Spoils football when referees clearly refuse to do their job because they don’t want to rattle the home team cage.

jingoe

The ref was a disgrace. Micah saying that he was swayed by the home crowd and then Spit the Scouser says 'Do you mean like the ref was swayed by the crowd at The Etihad when Walker should have had a red card?' Absolute biased bell-end. At least Keane said that we will be the team to beat this season. And oh my word, Phil Foden. What a fantastic player with so much natural talent.

gavin

Foden was great but the moment of the match for me was still Bernie's run in the first half to set Foden up. Absolutely fucking awesome.

93:2012

Bernardo dribble was fantastic and Phil should have done better but later made up for it.

Forensic goal beautiful taken.

The Rodri block was also an amazing moment and a further bit of magic.

Paul Tierney should be banned for three games along with whoever was operating the VAR. It just illustrates how poor our referees are in the U.K.

That said we wasted chance after chance first half and ultimately we paid two points for that.

Stephen Paul

We are mint. Doing well with no striker so far. Not spunking money because we can anymore. Will find a way to win. Bernardo best player this season and Rodri stepping up to the ferna plate. Three way competition this year. City Liverpool Chelsea. United will get found out, their next 6 are very tough games
Up the covid blues

Hesperus

We’re missing a quality striker. It could well be out Achilles this season. Yesterday we should have been up at HT. Similar story against PSG. Against the really good teams we are lacking upfront.

Stephen Paul

Bernardo man of the match

What a game he had
