This could be a tough game but I really hope that they fold like last season. There was a gulf in class. It is going to be very hard for them mentally, especially if they go behind.

Manchester City have won 12 of their past 13 Premier League games against Arsenal, though the exception was a 1-0 loss at the Emirates in the reverse fixture this season.
Following their win at Emirates Stadium in October, the Gunners are looking to complete their first Premier League double over Manchester City since 2007-08.

Arsenal have lost each of their past seven league away games against City.

Pep Guardiola's side are unbeaten in their past 38 home games in all competitions, since a 2-1 loss against Brentford in November 2022. It is their second longest run without defeat at home in their history, after a run of 42 between 1919 and 1921.

Arsenal have won their past eight top-flight games, scoring 33 goals and conceding just four.

The Gunners have had three runs of nine or more consecutive victories within a single season in the competition, with each one coming during title winning campaigns – 10 in 1997-98, 13 in 2001-02 and nine in 2003-04.

Manchester City have scored in each of their past 57 home games in all competitions, their longest such scoring streak in club history.

Tight odds considering our record against them at the Etihad. They've had a good run but mostly scoring loads of goals against also rans.

Kyle and John are confirmed by Pep as injured for Arsenal and a few more games in the case of Kyle.

In his presser Pep refused to comment on whether he should have been playing two international friendlies in a week. It was a pointed refusal to comment if you ask me.

Anyway, City to win 3-1.

Pep Guardiola has confirmed John Stones and Kyle Walker will miss our home game against Arsenal on Sunday.
Walker was forced off in the first-half of England's 1-0 defeat to Brazil at Wembley.

And there was further bad news when Stones had to come off with injury in the first few minutes of England's 2-2 draw with Belgium.

The City boss didn't expand on the length of time either defender will be absent.

"Kyle's [injury is] more tough than John's but they will be out-  I don't know for how many games," said Pep.

On a brighter note, Guardiola added that Ederson is "much better" and added the Manuel Akanji was "okay".

Kevin De Bruyne could also be available for the visit of the Gunners.

The Belgian - along with England international Jack Grealish - both trained on Thursday and could be in contention for Sunday having both been unavailable for international duty.
