Ederson, Nunes, Akanji, Dias (C), Gvardiol, Nico, Gundogan, Bernardo, Marmoush, Doku, Haaland

Subs: Ortega, Ake, Rodri, De Bruyne, Savinho, Echeverri, Foden, O'Reilly, Lewis

Kdb benched for his final game. Jack nowhere.

Great overhead kick by Gundo there! 1-0 City.

We just do not seem to be tightening up at the back at all. We should have added more goals but could have conceded too.

Thank fuck the season is over, my stress levels will now considerably subside.

Asides from that a decent performance overall. Pace slowed down second half and we were lucky a few times. Marmoush worked his bollocks off, Doku was a bit hit and miss but tried hard as did Haaland.

Gundog gets my man of the match.

Hesperus

Good result and It'll be a big relief to the board that we made the CL places. A ray of light in what has otherwise been a dreadful season.

Club world championship to play now. So there's still a chance of silverware!

KunDB

We have been spoilt rotten over the last ten years, even I'm disappointed with no trophy and only 3rd in the PL. That is, until I wobble my head and remember the bad years and you know what, it's been a grand year after all.

Come on City.

I love the bonus of the Club World Cup games this summer, even if we field a significantly weakened team. Love watching and following City.

Next year will be exciting and hopefully more trophies will be gained for our trophy cabinet.

gavin

It was a great result and there were some very good aspects of our play but all of the defensive weaknesses were there too. There is a lot of work to do. I'd rather do without the Club World Cup. It will have immense impact on preparations for the next season. I am sure the money will be welcome to the club but I'd much rather focus on winning the Premier League back.

It was great to see some sparks of the classic Gundo. Sad to see the end of KDB.

Swiss

I like gvardiol, but I hope he plays CB next season cause he's a liability at LB.

His and Nunes"s passing in our def 3rd is atrocious

gavin

Gvardiol could well win player of the season. But you have a point. He is great attacking from left back but more than a little careless at times. I wouldn't class him with Nunes though.

Swiss

I hear what you're saying, I'm always nervous when defending with Nunes. But JG gets caught up the pitch, and too often it was his own passes that put us in danger.

Also Gvardiol has been our least effective wide defender when creating and scoring. And he's played the most Matches.

JG -
All comps: 53 matches, 5 goals, 1 assists
91.4% pass accuracy.

MN
All comps: 39 Matches 4 goals, 10 assists
88.8% Pass accuracy

RL
All comps: 43 Matches, 2 goals, 5 assists.
91.4% pass accuracy.

NO'R
All comps; 19 Matches, 5 goals, 2 assists
87.7% pass accuracy.

Marmoush for POTY, with O'Reilly as young POTY for me.

gavin

I'd have thought that Josko was better going forward but that is a really impressive number of assists from Nunes. For a full back it is incredible. It puts him in a totally different light.

Swiss

I think JG he had a really good start to the season. Then we as a team just went flat and the mistakes (all over the team) crept in.

Nunes is a midfielder by trade, doing a job at RB.

In fact, none of those players are WB's by trade. So can't be too harsh on them...

gavin

Pep said that he is not clever enough to play in midfield. It looks like he will need to be a full back if he stays at City.

Nunes may not be the best right back in the world but he gives it all, so respect to him. He defo should stay in the squad. I feel he will improve next season wherever Pep plays him or we guess he does  :D
