An early goal from Phil and a late one from Jeremy in the first half so far. But really the poor defending from City has been really notable yet again. Wydad could well have had a couple too.

I concur Swiss. City should treat it as pre season all the way because we are not going to get one this year. Use this ridiculous tournament to prepare the players for what's really ahead.

It was not very inspiring stuff at all. It really did feel as engaging as your typical pre-season friendly. It doesn't help with the grounds being half empty.

The competition should get better as it goes on. It needs to. The group stages always looked a bit of a waste of time.
