Ederson; Lewis, Simpson-Pusey, Akanji, Gvardiol; Kovacic, Bernardo (C), Foden; Savinho, Haaland, Nunes.

Substitutes: Ortega, Carson, Walker, Ake, Wilson-Esbrand, Wright, O'Reilly, Gundogan, De Bruyne, McAtee, Doku.

Young lad gets a go at centre half. No centre half on bench but he could have played Walker or Gvardiol there so he must have faith. Good luck to the lad.

As the horror of the weekend fades and optimism starts to build again after listening to Pep, I go for a 3-1 win. Our lads don't like defeat and they will hate two defeats on the trot. They will be all out to prevent three.

Those back to back defeats are not too damaging yet but clearly we need to arrest this run and quickly. We don't need two extra games so we need to win on Tuesday.

Erling seems to be on a bad run all of a sudden. He does seem to be a bit of a form player. Today he was anonymous and missed the few chances that he had. He should have had a hatful in the last home game. Today was not his fault, we certainly did not give him enough opportunities early enough in the game. But when we do play poorly, he is a luxury.

Nunes was again decent I thought and he has earned a longer run even when others come back. Having said that, Doku should have been on much earlier. He made a big difference.

It is a big shame that we couldn't take one of those chances at the end. It would have been great to get an undeserved point out of that. But hopefully the performance and defeat will serve as a kick up the arse. We cannot afford to play at less than 100% from the start. We cannot afford to keep going behind in matches.

Quote from: gavin on November 02, 2024, 15:15:28City conceded first yet again. It is all too easy to score against us. Phil beaten easily and a full turn in the box from the goalscorer.

Phil just stopped pressuring their player thinking the ball was going out and letting their player make a free pass into the box. Really shabby play.

Abysmal until very late on. Then we should really have equalised but there is no disguising a load of crap.

Sally i have to say Bournemouth fully deserved their win.

As all season we were totally crappy until we go behind, even then today we continued to misfire.

A supreme effort in the last ten minutes is great but not good enough for a team of or quality and standard.

Feels like this result has been coming for a while.

Almost unbelievable that we're being comprehensively beaten by Bournemouth but there you go.
