Navas new one year deal

It is very widely reported that Navas will be getting another year. He's not very popular with a lot of City fans but I happen to think the experiment with him at right back has largely gone well and given an extended run he could be very good there. Worth another year considering the other changes we will need to make in full back positions.

He cannot defend and I would have thought that might be on any JD for a defenders post?

Depends if he'll be a utility player and we're getting a new first choice full back. Pep seems to have more confidence him than say or sagna. Possibly the pace. There's also the continuity element given we could be replacing up to 5 other defenders.

Of course this could be misinformation as other clubs are interested in bidding on him...
