Stephen Paul

Never really gets a mention but one of the best signings for City

gavin

I have to admit that I disliked him when he was at Spurs but he has been an excellent player for us. He's very quick and competitive, useful going forward and has saved us countless times with his pace at the back. He's definitely been well worth the money and he's got another couple of years in him yet as he seems like a good professional.

KunDB

Cracker of a signing and well worth every penny.

Neil Mcnab

Aside from the escort nonsense, he gad done a great job. He has improved, but relies on his pace at times. He is still quick but a few times last season, he was outpaced, or at least equalled. At 32 how long had he got? He could be a Vardy and maintain it to his mid 30s, but I think there are cracks already. Not critical, aging is a fact of life.

gavin

He'll deffo have to wise up a bit as he loses his pace but Des Walker played till a decent age.

I can't think of a better right back currently playing apart from Cancello.

There are many options not just at fullback but across the the entire "back four". Laporte to return, Stones to return etc.

Ake is playing excellently too, we could be a bit short at right fullback in the future.

gavin

Typical. He's had his worst half for a long time.

Neil Mcnab

He's had a fright, hope he can come back stronger.

Hesperus

He had a stinker today playing in that inverted position. He's much better as an attacking fullback.

silvablue

He was matched for pace today and muscles and struggled. Probably because he is so used to chilling and letting his pace and power bail him out when he needs. A wake up call I am sure he will heed.
