CITY XI: Ortega, Akanji, Dias, Gvardiol, O'Reilly, Bernardo, De Bruyne (C), Savinho, Marmoush, Doku, Haaland

Subs: Ederson, Grealish, Nico, Gundogan, Reis, Nunes, Echeverri, Khusanov, Foden

Good to see the quick wingers playing. Echeverri on the bench, was wondering when we would see him in the squad.

A load of changes from one game to the next yet again. This doesn't give me confidence as consistency cannot be expected due to constant alterations. Anyway, up the blues!

gavin

Since when is deliberate handball not a sending off?? Fuck off VAR. Useless.

gavin

The officials in this country are an absolute disgrace. Palace saved by the man who should have been sent off.

BBC are a disgrace. The first thing we see at half time is that fat clueless fuck Rooney saying Palace deserve to be ahead. What a load of shite. Why is he even on telly for this game?

gavin

Turn over and it is Roy Keane. Is there any decent coverage of football anywhere, ever?

KunDB

Gutted. But we simply are not good enough.

Well done Crystal Palace.

gavin

I cannot say well done to them. The time wasting was awful. They just killed the second half by lying on the floor. Their best player should have been sent off. There was only one team trying to play football. It was defence v attack not a football match.

Hesperus

What a dreadful decline this season. A long time before we get back to being good again, and it may not happen tbh.

I predict we finished 6th.

FFS what a shit season.

I agree broadly with your analysis of the tactics of Palace. However, at the end of the day we had no cutting edge and weak defending. We couldn't even score from a penalty, which we have been pathetic at most of this season.

We need greater creativity, better and consistent defending and cutting edge up front for next season.

Is football and we just have to hope this will fuel the teams desire to win next season. I'm still worried about getting into the CL next season, for the reasons I've already stated about the team weaknesses.

Swiss

What a bag of shite.

I don't know what's happened to Nico and Khusanov...

Spent 150 mil in Jan. We were in 6th position.

Were still in 6th position and not playing any of them.

In fairness, it takes time to learn the Pep way off football and they are surely being prepped for next season.

It is still mind boggling to me how that handball didn't result in a red card for the keeper. The sheer incompetence of the officials is absolutely incredible.

In real time it may have been difficult for the official to give because of his view. The problem is with the 2 VAR officials. That is where the incompetence lay. The ball going away from Haaland is because Henderson flipped the ball away with his hand. Corrupt officials in my view. However, if Henderson was sent off there is still no garentee that City would have won and the sub goalie still could have saved that awful penalty.
