Tibial fracture and surgery needed. Could be out for the season.

Very bad news for us.

I had a tibial plateau feature 4 years ago. Still walk with a limp. Hope to god it's not one of those. Fingers crossed.

He will be missed. An excellent player at both centre half and left back. When he came on at Sunderland, he even showed Erling how to play centre forward.

He should get the best treatment possible and so should hopefully come back fully intact. No more Swales - have a knee op and then sit with your knee bent in economy on the flight back.

It seems that this would need quite a bit of force to break this!? Can you confirm?

Chelsea were dirty bastards and got away with it, just like Sunderland. Refs just don't want to do their job.
