What Gav said is actually where the blame should go. The Liverpool player committed a clear professional foul to stop a goal. Clear cheating.

I've heard he will get only a 1 match ban, but that sends the wrong message. It should be 3 matches minimum and rather than piling on VAR. The commentators should be calling out then Liverpool player for what he's done.

He's inexplicably getting sympathy in some quarters!

If that had been for a second goal instead of the third, then I would be truly furious. They would have gained a draw directly through cheating.

Tbf, it was correct officiating to the letter of the law.... just you don't always need to apply it fully

Quote from: KunDB on February 08, 2026, 18:55:35That is a massive win. Bound to instil belief and confidence in the team going forward.

Third goal being disallowed is absolute nonsense. If it had just run in with no foul from the red card player, would it have been chalked off. NO WAY.
I agree, common sense should
prevail here. Keep the player on and let the goal stand. Haaland did not touch the ball.
However, if the Rags or bindippers need a goal to win,I speculate that goal would have stood moreso with 15 seconds left.
Yet again poor officiating by the officials.

I'm absolutely buzzing after that comeback win, and I have a gut feeling that Haaland will be back on song for the rest of the season.
