Well Arsenal and the Scousers drew so we are only 6 points behind but still it has been a very poor week and Arsenal have chalked off another tough game.

I've not thought we were really capable of winning the league this season and the loss of our two CBs is a crushing blow. We've shown glimpses of looking dominant again but no where near enough.

I don't see Arsenal losing it now unless they really, really bottle it.

Nearly every time that we have won the league, I have given up on us in the run in. We are now very much in the hands of Arsenal but we need to be there behind them in case they slip up. It could still happen, especially given their record in previous years. The main thing that concerns me is that we don't look much like winning a lot of games in a row. We will certainly have to do that to win from here.

Quote from: gavin on January 07, 2026, 22:09:54We are incredibly mediocre.

How many other teams would not be adversely affected by 8-9 first team injuries, decimating the core spine of the team. We should accept the three draws they could easily have been three defeats.

This stands in first team needs time to gel together and learn.

One thing they need to learn, including even Cherki, forget the fancy flicked and tricks, win the game first and foremost.

Doesn't help that Haaland has hit a rare flat spot.

A massive congratulations to our centre backs who will, especially Max. Khusanov stop the slide tackles, going to ground will eventually end in tears.
