The scousers are nothing to be worried about. We are in better form than them and have the most deadly player in the league. Without doubt it could go either way this but we are coming together over a good few weeks whilst they still have a few defeats on the trot in their very recent history. The defeats will still be very much in their minds. It takes more than the odd win to get back confidence, as we discovered last season.

A rare occasion for me to post a predicted City loss, but that's the case for this game.

1. 2. Liverpool win

We are good and improving well week by week but inconsistent over the 90+ minutes, careless with passing at times and in dangerous areas, and lack physicality against very physical teams. Liverpool are very physical and dirty, and I have no hope that the referee will protect our flair players like Doku & Foden from tactical and dirty fouls.

So on balance, while I hope I'm wrong, I'm predicting Liverpool who are back on form to just edge the game. 12 v 11 is never easy.
