CITY XI: Ederson, Lewis, Akanji, Dias, Gvardiol, Kovacic, De Bruyne (C), Bernardo, Savinho, Doku, Haaland

Subs: Ortega Moreno, Walker, Stones, Ake, Grealish, Gundogan, Nunes, Kabore, McAtee

Wonder what's up with Phil

KunDB

I wonder as well.

Great line up, a bit moving to see Gundogan back in blue on the warm up pitch.

What a bonus his return is, always felt he would go on to coaching and management with City.

Should be straightforward but tough.

C'mon City

KunDB

Phil has taken a sick 🤢 day off seemingly.

Ha! Ha!

Just seen the rag's result  :D

Welcome to the Premier League Ipswich  :D

Not even 15 minutes played.

Gifted them a goal and then schooled them. Fantastic finish by Erling for his second. Savio looking the business again. Kev with a goal and assist too. He is flying at the start of the season.

KunDB

Breathtaking first 15 minutes.

Hopefully we will get the very deserved fourth goal and rest some players early in the season. And, of course bring on new boy Gundogan.

The Blue Blooded Maniac

Lookin class the lads and Sylvinho and Doku look good on the wings.

Sylvinho lucky not to give a pen away. I thought that was more of a pen than what we had.

More of the same second half!

Not the most exciting second half but a great final goal from Erling at the end. An excellent start and missing Rodri and Phil.

KunDB

Ten hat tricks already by Haaland at City. His goal stats are amazing.

Rolls Royce performance by City and it would have been disappointing if we had not added a fourth goal. Super goal that by Haaland.

Top of your PL, albeit too early to be meaningful.

Kilkenny Blue

I thought it was a bit, well, flat!  Great response to the Ipswitch goal though.  Haaland really looks up for it so far.

Neil Mcnab

I enjoyed it, even a long ball for Haalands second.
