Pep Brand of football

Does anyone else think that Peps brand of football is more suited to European style of play rather than the PL? after-all his style and tactics have been found out and easily stopped by opposing teams. It is simple, park your bus and let City run out of steam, which we have all seen happen in the last three home games.

Not really because I've seen a change in attitude from lots of the prem teams we've faced. We've seen others try and play out from the back to try and match styles, and not just this season and the "Pep effect", it's been gradually coming in over the last decade but it's a bit of a mash up of styles atm.

Kids these days are more technically minded and we'll see that coming through all the teams over the next 5 to 10 years and it's about bloody time that England caught up too!

The players are still getting to grip with the system/s. Pep will need a few transfer windows to get in more of the players in he wants. We have seen Pep is a great thinker, his system can change with the challenges put before the team. The team and tactics will evolve, nothing stands still.

But, parking the bus will inevitably lead to some games being a stalemate. Then its a moment of magic from our front players. They all need to chip in on the scoring front. If they dont, they will go.

Yesterday Boro parked the bus and got nowhere, had a go later and got a draw.

The press is to the fore at the filthy koppites and Spurs. The pressing only part of our story, but it is serving those teams well.

Long answer, but still definitely no.

We should have been more dynamic to finish the game off in the second half yesterday. He has to learn quickly that we can't afford to go into the last 10 at 1-0. It is still early days but it was bloody frustrating yesterday. Sergio and Kev did have the chance to finish them off but didn't do it but we should have done more second half. I think it was clear to all in the ground what was coming in injury time.

City are becoming the Big Bad Wolf of soccer: they huff, they puff, but can't blow the house down💨

We created enough chances yesterday, it's not down to the brand of football that they weren't put away.

Early days, other teams are playing that way (was commented on the radio here) like Chelski, Spurs, 'pool,
and will become the norm here with influence of managers from mainland Europe.
Also Pep's inherited players in this team some will be moved on and he'll have players more suited to his style brought in,along with teaching the younger players his style.
The future is Pep's way and sky Blue
