Jan Transfer window
« on: December 09, 2019, 22:48:17 »
Players linked.

(I know the club says no, but it's a bit of fun anyway)

Nathan Ake, thoughts?

He would be decent addition at the right price.

We need someone so spend big and get quality if needed. Foolish not to even if we have to pay a b premium.

Yer, saw that one... linked with that Pablo Mari who used to be owned by city.

Also the Haaland kid.

If he is anything like Angelino, leave well alone.
Ake is a good player, would fit in well. Only concern is his height, having a team of  Hobbits already.

Out on loan... Lukas Nmencha and Patrick Roberts (he's still only 22!) both to Boro...

Jack Rodwell (free agent) has joined Sheffield United... I thought he might do ok when he joined City, even picked him in my fantasy squad... but no.

Apparently we're after Lord Farquad from Leicester. I'm sure Brenda will tell Pep where to go.

Have we written this season off do you think? I mean we’ve been crying out for defensive reinforcements all season, even without losing Laporte we were already short in that area. I get we’ve given up on the league by January but we’re still in all the cups. However we have a defence that can’t keep a clean sheet against literally any team, we’re surely at risk of ending this season with nothing?

I still say Johnny Evans would have been a good signing for defensive cover

Evans is full of mistakes at key moments.

He's a good player just not great enough for  team of the class of City. Good move by him and the club.

Yeh, Angelino out was a bit of a surprise but not a shock. He looks promising going forward but dodgy defensively - a bit similar to but a bit worse than Mendy I'd say. Watch Mendy get injured this weekend.

Bought last summer for 9 mil only to be effectively sold 6 months later for a loss. Excellent business for someone that.

Disappointing window for me.

I thought we make £20 million if they take their option to buy him in summer! Option is £25 million.

Only just seen the option to buy for £25 mill. Actually then it seems like very good business! Although I’d be surprised if anyone actually pays £25 mill for him.

Pablo Mari has gone to Arsenal on loan. Have we missed something, Arteta obviously has faith. Seen Tim Vickery say he was excellent while at Flamengo.
