Yes, I did wonder why he was being unusually even handed. I did expect even worse than usual given events with UEFA. Even my father said it was nice to have a decent ref which is miraculous.

He got a couple of 'fouls' wrong (two Real players running into each other - and another one tripping over his own feet) but otherwise - yes - he was very good. Didn't piss about with VAR for very long when confirming our equaliser.
