Akanji & Gomez start due to our injury list I presume (protecting Ake for now), chance to get a real good look at them.

Tough gig both coming in so early, even though Gomez has had a run out.

Grealish starting.

C'mon City

Decent first half, well in control but - of course - more goals required!

Nice. We were on a different planet to Seville. Haaland was at his goal hanging best. Foden coming back to form. Lovely to see Jack back. Palmer looked very useful. Akanji and Gomez were excellent on full debut.

No longer worried about the left side of defence, especially with Laporte and Ake to come back.

The right back position is now my major concern, Walker is apparently cropped for the weekend along with Stones. Cancello however will be in his best position without backup.

Not seen much of Rico Lewis, RB though. Seville played like a team who hasnt won this season. Walkover.

Lewis has had a couple of sub appearances and looked okay but it wouldn't be ideal for him to start. Pep seems to have faith in him and Wilson-Esbrand from what he has said in his press conferences though.
