SUBS | Ortega Moreno, Carson, Dias, Ake, Haaland, Bernardo, Foden, Palmer, Lewis, Wilson-Esbrand

Erling rested. Strong bench.

silvablue

Totally underwhelmed by Mahrez penalty taking.

The Blue Blooded Maniac

Ye he's never instilled much confidence in me. What a weird half. Silly by gomez though.

Rodri's goal should have stood. It shouldn't have been a penalty. Mahrez shouldn't be taking them. Gomez sending off was probably right. It is just a waste of time refs going to the screen. Just let VAR over rule them. The half was reffed by VAR not the ref anyway.

Hopefully, Gomez has learnt his lesson and Mahrez is off penners.

KunDB

VAR half, Goal disallowed that shouldn't be, penalty awarded that shouldn't be and a sending of that was right.

Gomez needs to learn fast from that.

A perfect example game of why winning the CL requires a lot of luck on top of skill.

Good point

Hopefully no injuries

KunDB

Very hard earned point. We really need to learn from that as a team. Don't go down to ten, if needed concede the goal chance.

Neil Mcnab

We should have steamrolled Copenhagen. Unlucky and it was their chance at redemption. No hangover, move on and forget it.

gavin

Painful second half but not important at this stage.

The Rodri goal should have stops under the rules. You would think an assistant referee and the main referee between would know the rules.

An IFAB rule change in 2021, adopted by the UEFA Champions League, suggests that accidental handballs in the build-up to an opponent scoring a goal should not be penalised. The rule change was confirmed for last season's competition, and no further amendments were made for the 2022/23 edition.

Still good that we have qualified for the next stage.
