Sky news
Six members of FIFA have been arrested in Switzerland on corruption charges relating to bribes worth over £100 million
they are now awaiting extradition to the United states
the six include a vice president   :)

About bloody time

Lekos

Think there's 10 in total.  Jack Warner is the VP.  About bloody time, though shame that Blatter seems to have escaped (so far).

One of the people arrested, Rafael Esquivel, sits on the FIFA disciplinary committee...

it'll be carefully controlled and the main culprits will wriggle out of it, they would have got Blatter by now if they were going to get him at all. He's a slippery customer that one

Swiss

Maybe they're hoping someone will sing to take a lesser sentence!

Plea bargain. How long did Al Capone get for tax evasion?

May be Septic Bladder is hoping to loose the election so he can walk away quietly.

Others are going to be arrested. We should have a sweepstake on who's next. Pick one from this lot.

There's a school of thought that says Blatter is behind the whole thing. Taking out his rivals.

Blatter refusing to resign, saying "I can't keep control of everyone!!!"

What a slimy bastard he is, everyone in the world wants him to go, but he won't - unbelievable

It'd be great if it was found also that the FFP was founded on bribery from the big clubs...

The BBC did a piece yesterday which said that the Now disgraced Mohamed Bin Hamman was instrumental in wheeling and dealing to get Splatter  elected, things happened in the hotel the night before the elections where envelopes were pushed under hotel room doors etc and Splatter was elected from nowhere

Sepp Blatter's 1998 election to the presidency of FIFA over UEFA President Lennart Johansson occurred amidst much controversy.[20][21] Blatter's 2002 candidacy has been marked with rumours of financial irregularities and backroom dealings,[22] culminating with direct accusations of bribery, by a third party, made in the British press by Farra Ado, vice-president of the Confederation of African Football and president of the Somali Football Federation, who claimed to have been offered $100,000 to vote for Blatter in 1998.[23
