Further clarification of the latest shenanigans. "A fucking football team of justice".

I think a no deal Brexit is more likely after today’s news.

Not a good outcome.

gavin

I'm kind of getting the impression now that the House of Commons could vote to revoke article 50 if Boris persuades an EU member to block an extension or finds some other means to do it.

We're all living in a Monty Python sketch, the longer it goes on the more convinced I am.

reddishblue

Might have posted this before, a perfect summary so WTF.

probably get good money on hungary saying no for a few quid

Hesperus

I can’t believe any EU country would veto an extension. The rest of the EU would have a hissy fit I think.

I do think a no deal is getting very likely. This is how I see it playing out:

- Boris has to ask for an extension
- An election is called
- I think the Tory’s and Brexit part will win enough seats to get a majority in parliament for a no deal. IMO The opposition are all over the place on Brexit to gain enough votes to win a majority.
- The EU “may” offer some better deal to Boris at this point.
- I’d say it’s 50/50 if Boris will accept it
- if Boris does accept, we go out with a deal (still a hard brexit)
- if Boris doesn’t accept we go out with a no deal. Boris has backed himself into a corner and has to take us out without a deal if he gets a parliamentary majority for it.

Worrying times imo.

The only reason we are this fucking is because the fucking tories were frightened of losing seats to UKIP. Now we have the Brexit party. I mean FFS how stupid are people?

Hesperus

Looking like Boris is offering up NI to get the deal done.
