Today is Brian Kidd's birthday.

But then it was a big clanger to end up in the middle of nowhere for the first goal in the Cup final. Both keepers have proven their worth this season and both have shown their fallibility too. Both should stay this summer.

Ederson at times was too lacsidaical. His distribution many times was not up to par. Stefan knew when to hoof it Eddy didn't.

There's been a lot of rumour he might be off to Saudi.

I would be a bit concerned any other season but Ortega has been class when called upon and from his appearances this season, I'd say he is at least on par with Edi.

I'd really, really love it if we could just go back to football being played on grass and not being subject to the evil machinations of American owners whose only interest is taking profits out of the sport and putting it into their own pockets. The game does not benefit from various clubs being docked points for financial reasons during the season. It has become a farce already. But the hole is being dug deeper if anything.
